These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to your use of this website and to any order you place with us. Please read them before ordering. By placing an order you agree to these Terms.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, or any other applicable UK consumer legislation. Where any term conflicts with those rights, your statutory rights prevail.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a legally binding contract to place an order. By ordering, you confirm that you are.

3. Products and Descriptions

We take care to describe our products accurately, including dimensions, materials and finishes. Please note the following.

Colour. Screens render colour differently. The colour of an item as it appears on your device may differ from the item itself.

Natural variation. Wood grain, marble and stone veining, rattan, ceramic glazes, hand-finished metals and handwoven textiles vary from piece to piece. Variation of this kind is inherent to the material and is not a defect.

Dimensions. Measurements are given as accurately as possible; minor variation of up to 3 cm may occur on handmade and hand-measured items, including textiles. Please measure your space before ordering, particularly for larger pieces, and check the size guide on the product page before choosing a size.

Images. Styling props shown in photographs are for illustration only and are not included unless expressly stated in the product description.

4. Availability

All products are subject to availability. Occasionally an item may be out of stock after your order is placed. If that happens we will contact you and offer an alternative, a partial dispatch, or a full refund of the affected item.

5. Price and Payment

Prices are in pounds sterling and include UK VAT where applicable. Delivery is free on all UK orders.

We try to ensure all prices are accurate. If we discover a pricing error after you order, we will contact you before dispatch and give you the choice of confirming the order at the correct price or cancelling it for a full refund. Where the error is obvious and could reasonably have been recognised as a mispricing, we are not obliged to supply at the incorrect price.

Payment is taken at the time you place your order. We accept the payment methods displayed at checkout.

6. How the Contract Is Formed

Your order is an offer to buy. Our acknowledgement email confirms we have received it, but does not accept it. A contract comes into existence only when we send you a dispatch confirmation, and covers only the items listed in that confirmation.

We may decline an order where the item is unavailable, we cannot obtain payment authorisation, a pricing or description error is identified, we cannot deliver to your address, or we reasonably suspect fraud.

7. Cancelling Your Order

You have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days of receiving your goods, and we voluntarily extend this to 30 days. Certain items, including made-to-measure and personalised goods, are excluded from the statutory right. Full details, including exclusions, are in our Returns & Refunds Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

8. Delivery

Delivery times, charges and arrangements for larger items are set out in our Delivery Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.

9. Faulty Goods

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If they are not, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund. See our Returns & Refunds Policy for how to make a claim.

10. Product Safety and Intended Use

Our products are intended for domestic decorative use. Please follow any care, assembly and safety instructions supplied.

Candles and any item involving a flame must never be left unattended, must be kept away from flammable materials, children and pets, and must be placed on a heat-resistant surface. Electrical items must be used only with the supply voltage and fittings stated. Mirrors, shelving and wall art must be fixed using appropriate fixings for your wall type; if you are unsure, use a qualified tradesperson.

We are not liable for damage or injury arising from improper installation, misuse, alteration, or use outside the intended purpose.

11. Your Account

If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for activity carried out under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. We may suspend or close an account where these Terms are breached.

12. Acceptable Use

You may not use our site unlawfully, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, introduce malicious code, scrape or systematically extract content, or use it in a way that damages or impairs it for others.

13. Reviews and Submitted Content

If you submit a review, photograph or other content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce and display it in connection with our business. You confirm the content is your own, accurate, and does not infringe anyone else's rights. We may remove content that is unlawful, offensive or misleading.

14. Intellectual Property

All content on this site, including text, images, logos, graphics and layout, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by copyright and trade mark law. You may view and print content for your own personal use, but may not otherwise copy, reproduce or commercially exploit it without our written permission.

15. Our Liability

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable, or for any loss arising from your use of a product for business purposes, including loss of profit, business interruption or loss of business opportunity.

We do not exclude or limit our liability in any way where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for breach of your legal rights in relation to the goods, and for defective products under the Consumer Protection Act 1987.

Where we supply a product that damages your property through our fault, we will repair the damage or pay you compensation. We will not be liable where the damage was caused by your failure to follow installation, care or safety instructions.

16. Events Outside Our Control

We are not liable for delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including extreme weather, industrial action, carrier failure, civil unrest, or restrictions on transport or imports. If such an event occurs we will contact you as soon as possible, and if the delay is substantial you may cancel and receive a full refund for undelivered goods.

17. Complaints and Dispute Resolution

If you have a complaint, contact us at info@style-room.co.uk and we will try to resolve it. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and resolve them within 14 days.

If we cannot resolve matters between us, you may be able to use an alternative dispute resolution scheme, and you can seek free advice from Citizens Advice (citizensadvice.org.uk, 0808 223 1133).

18. Changes to These Terms

We may amend these Terms from time to time. The version in force when you place your order is the version that applies to that order.

19. Other Terms

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in force. A delay in enforcing these Terms does not prevent us from enforcing them later. This contract is between you and us; no other person has rights to enforce it.

20. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You may bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland, you may bring proceedings in Scotland; if you live in Northern Ireland, you may bring proceedings in Northern Ireland.
