This throw is for anyone who has bought a fleece blanket that felt lovely for a fortnight and then went stiff and bobbled in the wash.

The brushed sherpa here is dense rather than fluffy, which is what stops it matting down, and the reverse carries a cable relief that gives a different feel and a different look depending on which way you turn it. Nine colours run from charcoal through latte to matcha, and three sizes go up to 200 x 230cm, which covers a double bed properly rather than almost.

Turned sherpa side up it is the blanket for a cold evening in front of the television. Turned over, the cable face is tidy enough to leave folded at the end of the bed when someone is coming round.
